Group employee benefits that cover your employees for death injury or illness are highly regarded by today's workforce. We can help you ensure your employees are protected, supported and cared-for in a way that offers you long term productivity and organisational wellbeing at a sensible and sustainable cost.

Here are some of the most popular Protection Schemes.

Group Life Assurance

Also widely known as Death in Service benefit and usually provides a tax free lump sum to the loved ones of an employee in the event of death. Often the cornerstone in building a good employee benefits package because of its affordability and widespread employee appreciation. Group Life Assurance schemes must be carefully managed owing to potential tax implications, particularly for high earners, and the need to ensure trust documentation is correct and up to date. We can help with all forms of Group Life Assurance, including Registered Group Life Schemes, Excepted Group Life Schemes and Relevant Life Schemes.

Group Income Protection

This is a form of Sick Pay and provides a replacement income to employees when they are seriously ill and are unable to work long term. Whilst state benefits can help, they are small payments in comparison to an average salary. Group Income Protection gives financial security to your employees so they can pay for everyday essentials such as mortgage or rent, household insurances, energy bills, children expenses and food. Income Protection payments typically start after someone is absent from work for an initial deferred period (typically 3 or 6 months), these payments continue until your employee can return to work, reaches state pension age or the end of any maximum payment term selected by you.

Group Critical Illness Cover

This provides a cash lump sum (usually tax free) to an employee on diagnosis of a specified serious illness or condition. Typically serious illness and conditions are, heart attacks, stroke, cancers, multiple sclerosis, liver failure, major organ surgery, kidney failure, and major organ transplants. Sadly, these types of illnesses can happen to anyone at any age and are often unexpected.

Flex Benefits

In addition to the insured group protection schemes mentioned above, Flexible and Voluntary offer a wide range of added-value benefits for your employees and are normally paid for through payroll deduction or salary sacrifice. As an example, voluntary benefits may include; cycle to work plans, childcare voucher plans, gym membership plans, retail discount plans, and cash plans for health and dental treatments.
